Since I was little, I've held a genuine fascination for the world of dentistry, a passion that I enthusiastically shared with my parents, who themselves come from a rich dental background. This early connection with dentistry laid the foundation for my lifelong commitment to the profession. I had the privilege of graduating from the esteemed University of British Columbia. This educational journey marked the commencement of my professional career, where I welcomed every opportunity as a challenge to advance my skill set. 

Throughout my years in practice, I've remained dedicated to keeping up with modern and digital dentistry. I eagerly sought to expand my knowledge and expertise by actively participating in various study clubs and hands-on courses. This commitment to continuous learning enables me to provide my patients with cutting-edge, evidence-based care.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my practice is the interaction with my patients. I take great pride in ensuring that every individual receives the excellent care and attention they deserve. Working with children is a delightful aspect of my practice as well. Their vibrant energy and enthusiasm never fail to brighten my day.

My experience in the field of dentistry spans a wide range of expertise. I have cultivated a particular passion for cosmetic and functional dentistry, where I excel in enhancing both the aesthetic appeal and functionality of a patient's smile. Additionally, I offer specialized services such as neuromodulator therapy (Botox) addressing clenching , headaches, and upper face cosmetic enhancements.

• American Academy of Clear Aligners

Outside of the clinic, you might catch me strolling along the sandy shores, cruising on my bike, or crafting yet another whimsical ceramic mug.

Tatiana

Administrative Cooridinator

Originally from Kyrgyzstan, Tatiana now calls Victoria her home. With a Masters degree in Business Administration and experience in the hospitality industry, Tatiana has worked in high profile positions around the world.

Although relatively new to the dental field, Tatiana’s has embraced her new career. Her warm, friendly nature and administrative proficiency will welcome you to our office. Tatiana enjoys meeting new people and helping her patients with all their administrative needs.

Tatiana is also a trained yoga instructor and has a diploma in holistic massage and reflexology.  In her spare time, Tatiana enjoys exploring the beauty of the mountains and ocean, cooking and dancing with family and friends, and practicing on the yoga mat.

Nancy Bio

Nancy was born in BC, raised in Ontario, and recently returned to her roots again. Nancy graduated from Camosun College for the Medical Office Assistant Program in 2000.  Her love for holistic health started at a young age and she has enjoyed working in the health field ever since.  Nancy’s warmth and genuine care for patients adds to the Viva Dental team. If you need to book an appointment, she is Spanish speaking as well.  Nancy enjoys hiking and exploring Vancouver island with her family when not working. She also enjoys cooking and bouncing on the trampoline with her sons.

Valerie Bio

This is Valerie, also known to go by Val. 

Val was born in Comox but grew up on the Lower Mainland. She made the move to Victoria in 2016. She has worked in the dental field for eight years between the front of house and the back. Consisting of but not limited to; sterilization, assisting, treatment coordinating, schedule maintenance  and accounts management. 

Her other employment is in animal medicine at a vet clinic. In which she thoroughly enjoys being surrounded by all the furry fluffs. Val has a passion for animals as a whole. She grew up riding horses and eventually went on to do some show jumping in her adult riding. 

Val keeps herself quite busy between her two jobs and keeping up with her border-collie  HarleyQuinn. When she does have free time, she enjoys going to the gym, hiking and spending time with friends and family.

Katy Bio

Born and raised in Victoria, Katy has been working in the dental industry for 17 years. She strives to make sure patients have all the administrative information needed to make informed decisions about their dental treatment.

Outside the office, Katy is a published author and journalist, as well as photographer. She enjoys gardening and beach walks with her husband and young son. Her passions include: a good cup of coffee, a good British crime show, and a good nap on the couch with her pets.
